Itinerary:

Day 1 | Friday 21 May 2021: Meet us at Bangalay!

​

Our getaway gets underway with the all-important Gathering of Guys—the only way to kick-start a Guys Adventure!  You can choose to meet us at Bangalay Luxury Villas in Shoalhaven Heads, or make your way to Bomaderry by train and we’ll collect you from the station. Just let us know how you’d like to make your entrance. 

 

You can check-in at Bangalay Luxury Villas from 2.00pm, and immerse yourself in coastal luxury. Then, you’ll have the option of meeting your weekend companions at 3.00 for a beach walk (or an optional inhouse massage at an additional cost). 

 

At 5.00 we meet for our signature welcome cocktail before sliding into a local tasting experience and then on to our dinner reservation at Bangalay Dining.

 

And if you hear nightcaps calling, the Heads Hotel is just a 15-minute stroll away.

DAY 2 | Saturday 22 May 2021: Action-packed Saturday! 

 

C’mon, sleepy boys. Up and at ‘em! You early birds might fancy a quick morning beach walk before breakfast at Bangalay. Then it's all-aboard our private coach for the short drive towards Drawing Room Rocks and our first short bushwalk.

 

The walk takes just 30-minutes each way, mostly uphill going in, and you'll enjoy astonishing views over Kangaroo Valley and Berry from the edge of the Illawarra escarpment. 

 

Famished? Parched? Never fear, intrepid adventurer, we're off to the divine Hampden Deli in Kangaroo Valley—a hotbed of pickling and baking and delicious things—for morning tea. Pro-tip? Fuel-up here before we get physical again. *You’re welcome. 

 

We then wind the morning away on a Kangaroo Valley Kayaks Hampden Bridge to Bendeela adventure. From the famous Hampden Bridge—the oldest suspension bridge in Australia—we'll paddle five pretty river-kilometres to the Bendeela picnic area, testing your nerve through small rapids along the way. 

 

Enjoy a late but hearty and well-deserved lunch at Kangaroo Valley’s historic Friendly Inn pub— a favourite among locals and travellers alike. Save room for another Guys Adventures’ flourish—a private tasting and winery tour at Silo’s Estate on our way back to Bangalay. 

 

Put your feet up, get up to mischief or just take your time to freshen-up before we’re out to dine again. Sheesh! You will not go hungry on this trip.

 

At Harvest Berry Mountain resto in Berry, we’ll sit down to a very exclusive 3-course dining experience, and we’ll have the very great pleasure of meeting the chef. Harvest Berry Mountain seeks to bring the very best farm produce, grown on the mountain, to its Queen Street, Berry, restaurant. Oh, did we say 'fine craft beers and spirits'? 

 

Then it’s back to Bangalay for beddy-byes!

DAY 3 | Sunday 23 May 2021: Definitely Not a Day of Rest. 

 

Rise and shine, all you gorgeous Guys. After a Bangalay breaky, we’re off to Regal Riding School to straddle some ponies and enjoy an hour-long ride around the beautiful seaside property.

​

Sadly, we’ll have to return to Bangalay at 10.30 to check-out but—never fear!—we hear morning mimosas and brunch at Mountain Ridge Wines calling.

 

Mountain Ridge is a family run farm, vineyard, restaurant, café and home on the foothills of Cullungutti Mountain with majestic views to Coolangatta, Berry, Saddleback and Cambewarra Mountains. But we’re still not done.  Just when you thought it was time to put your feet up, we’re off on the Grotto Walk on the banks of the Shoalhaven River.

 

The walk is short but steep in parts as it zigzags down 45 metres from the cliff-tops to the banks of the river. Oh stop it, you'll love it!  OK, we’re nearly done. But first—lunch!  

 

We're off to the divine Cambewarra Estate for lunch and wine tasting on the jetty. Best you stock up on a few bottles of something nice here to enjoy tonight when, sadly, your Guys Adventure will be but a fond, fun 'did that really happen' memory of good times and great, great guys.
